The idea of VOID
VOID is an independent fan-made social platform built around the Dishonored community. It exists for people who want a place where the names Dunwall, Karnaca, the Outsider, Corvo Attano, Emily Kaldwin, Daud and Billie Lurk do not need an explanation.
The project combines the familiar mechanics of a social network with a more specific cultural focus: posts, profiles, comments, private messages and group chats are placed next to Dishonored-themed profile fields, fan discussions, community events and VOID MOD integration.
VOID is not trying to replace large social networks. It is intentionally narrower, stranger and more personal: a place made for a specific community rather than for everyone at once.
What users can do here
Users can publish posts, attach media, comment on publications, follow other users, exchange direct messages, participate in group chats, customise their profiles and choose how much of their activity should be visible to others.
Profiles may contain ordinary information, links to social accounts and Dishonored-specific details. For users who use VOID MOD, the profile may also display statistics connected with Dishonored (2012): kills, coins collected, alarms triggered and times detected by enemies, depending on the privacy settings chosen by the user.
VOID also hosts fan activities, including special events such as “ЕГЭ Дизонордология”, community jokes, discussions, observations and experiments that would probably look suspiciously specific anywhere else.
Community philosophy
VOID is built around the idea that a fan community can be serious and unserious at the same time. Lore discussions, technical experiments, long posts, absurd humour, exam-style fan events and ordinary conversations can coexist without cancelling each other out.
The platform values recognisable identity, authorship and conversation. Usernames are addresses, display names are public identity, posts are public expression, and comments and chats are where the community reacts, argues, laughs and occasionally falls into the Void together.
Non-commercial nature
VOID is a non-commercial project. The platform is not built as an advertising network, does not sell access to core social functions and is not operated as an official commercial product of any third-party rights holder.
The absence of monetisation is part of the project’s character: VOID exists because its community and theme are interesting enough to justify building a dedicated place for them.
Unofficial status
VOID is an unofficial fan site. It is not affiliated with, sponsored by or operated on behalf of Arkane Studios, Bethesda Softworks, ZeniMax, Xbox, Microsoft, X Corp. or any other rights holder mentioned on the platform.
References to Dishonored, its characters, setting and related names are made for community, commentary, discussion and fan activity. The official legal details are stated separately in the Legal Notice and Disclaimer.
If the Legal Notice is the lawyer in the room, this page is the normal human explanation of what VOID is trying to be.
Where VOID is going
VOID is not frozen as a finished museum piece. The project may continue to evolve: better profiles, faster feeds, stronger messaging, native mobile clients, richer fan events, mod integrations and other tools that make sense for the community.
The general direction is simple: keep the project recognisably VOID, keep it useful for fans, and keep the atmosphere close to the world that inspired it.
